Qatar Sustainable Development Week 2021

The Qatar Green Building Council announced the 6th edition of Qatar Sustainability Week. The week-long national campaign will run from October 23 to 30, 2021.

Qatar International Art Festival 2021

Art lovers unite as this is one of the biggest art festivals in Qatar and it will be held at Katara Cultural Village from October 24-28, 2021. Over 300 artists from over 65 countries are registered to participate in QIAF 2021. This artistic extravaganza will be having an art exhibition from 10am to 10pm every day of the festival that you can experience! will you go?

Ajyal Film Festival 2021 Jury Program

If your kids love movies, be sure to register them for the Ajyal Film Festival. The festival lasts 13 days and allows you to experience the cultures of the world through the powerful medium of film. Last year Ajyal welcomed over 400 jurors from 45 nationalities, you can be one of them this year!

Join Jury of the Ajyal Film Festival from November 7 to 13, 2021.

As an Ajyal juror, you will be able to:

1. Watch short and feature films from around the world, both online and in theaters.
2. Vote for your favorite films and choose the winners of the Ajyal Competition.
3. Meet internationally renowned and stimulating guests.
4. Attend online workshops and masterclasses on directing techniques and cinematic language.

Jury categories

There are three Ajyal competition juries in three age groups. They are:

  • Mohaq: Mohaq means “New Moon” in Arabic, and they are Ajyal’s youngest jurors, aged 8 to 12. The young people of this jury will watch a program of short films and four feature films.
  • Hilal: Ajyal’s jurors aged 13 to 17 make up the Hilal jury – the term means “crescent moon” in Arabic. Four feature films and a short film program make up the Hilal Jury Festival program.
  • Bader: The most mature of Ajyal’s juries, the Bader jurors (Arabic for ‘Full Moon’) are between 18 and 25 years old and will select their favorite films from among five feature films and two short film programs.

How to register

You are just a few clicks away from joining the Ajyal Jury experience for 2021. Registration is open from August 22 to October 24, and you must be between 8 and 25 years old to register. The registration process will require a one-time participation fee to secure your spot, as detailed below.

  • Dupdated * (Members of the Cultural Passport for Siblings and Museums of Qatar): 200 QR
