Our eLearning team is looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Specialist. Working remotely, we brainstorm and create solutions for our clients while enjoying a strong benefits package including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and an employee stock ownership plan.

This role is responsible for identifying and sourcing potential customers who require training and development solutions across all industries. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and easily build relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must and the individual should possess the ability to multi-task with a high degree of time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Develop new business via email and phone to introduce P1 Learning to key decision makers.
  2. Follow leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
  3. Perform an early needs analysis to help determine prospects’ pain points.
  4. Build and cultivate relationships with prospects by initiating communications and performing follow-ups to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  5. Work with the President/CEO to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently achieve monthly/quarterly revenue goals.
  6. Manage new and potential customer data in CRM, ensuring all communications are logged and information is accurate, and documents/agreements are sent when/as needed.
  7. Assist the President/CEO on additional projects as needed.


  1. 1 to 3 years of experience in B2B sales.
  2. Experience in telemarketing and/or inside sales.
  3. Good research skills and attention to detail.
  4. A proven track record of strong client relationships.
  5. Excellent communication skills. Both written and verbal.
  6. Ability to prioritize, implement and complete projects.
  7. Technology expert and proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook.
  8. Experience in learning and development and/or human resources is preferred, but not required.


Remuneration is commensurate with experience. Competitive compensation, plus commission.
