Lilly Chan has been named chief executive of Bonhams US.

Based in New York, Chan joins Bonhams and has worked in the worlds of luxury, financial services, retail markets and auction houses. She was most recently an advisor to start-ups and entrepreneurs. Previously, she worked as Global Managing Director for the Global Asian Art Department at Christie’s in Hong Kong and also served as Managing Director of Asia for Phillips, also in Hong Kong.


Stefany Sekara Morris

Bonhams has named Stefany Sekara Morris the head of Impressionist and Modern art in the United States.

Bonhams has appointed Stefany Sekara Morris as Head of Impressionist and Modern Art in the United States, based in New York. Leading the US team, she will source jobs and oversee department sales throughout the year.

She has been a specialist in impressionist, modern and contemporary art for more than 15 years. For nearly 10 years, she held the position of Impressionist and Modern Art Day Manager and worked on paper sales at Christie’s in New York.

Most recently Morris was Head of Auctions for online start-up Paddle8, working with the team to organize and promote over 100 auctions each year.

Skinner of Boston – now part of Bonhams – has appointed Benjamin Mini as manager of the rugs and carpeting department.

Skinner of Boston – now part of Bonhams – has appointed Benjamin Mini as manager of the rugs and carpeting department. He will also serve as the auction house’s regional manager for Maine and northern New England.

Mini brings over two decades of experience in buying and selling rugs, textiles and other antiques. During his years as an active collector, he developed a particular interest in woven textiles from the Near East and North Africa, including Anatolia, Persia, the Caucasus and the Maghreb.

Dr. Ridha Moumni has been promoted to Vice President, Christie’s Middle East and North Africa.

A new management team has been appointed for the Middle East division of Christie’s. Dr. Ridha Moumni has been promoted to Vice President, Christie’s Middle East and North Africa, and Meagan Kelly Horsman has joined the company as Managing Director, Christie’s Middle East. Moumni was previously Christie’s senior client advisor for the Middle East.

Meagan Kelly Horsman has joined Christie’s as Managing Director of the Middle East.

Horsman previously held various positions in the art market, including at Bonhams, as well as organizing art fairs, including on Al Serkal Avenue, and organizing training courses.

Christie’s has also created two specialist departments for watches and Middle Eastern art in Dubai with a special events team led by new managing director Itziar Salgado.

It is celebrating its 20th anniversary and the new auction room has been fitted out to accommodate the majority of its sales. In addition, the exhibition spaces have been expanded to allow for a year-round program of cultural exhibitions and a new cafe will open in September.
