Another year of high school recruiting for Nebraska’s volleyball program began with a bang with the signing of the nation’s No. 1-ranked recruit from a website.
Skyler Pierce, a 6-foot-2 outside hitter from Lenexa, Kansas, announced her commitment to the Huskers via social media on Sunday afternoon.
She attends Olathe Northwest, where she will be a junior this fall, and also plays basketball.
It is ranked #1 in the nation by the Prep Dig website. In the Prepvolleyball.com rankings, Pierce is ranked ninth.
She signed up just days after college coaches were cleared to make offers to the Class of 2024.
His club program, Dynasty, has several top-30 recruits in the Class of 2024.
Later that summer, Pierce was selected for a tryout with the United States Junior National Team which will select the team that will represent the United States at the Under-19 Pan American Cup in July.

Pierce attended Nebraska’s 2021 Dream Team Camp, where she was able to meet several Nebraska players and commit to the 2022 and 2023 recruiting classes.
Nebraska already has a strong recruiting class for the high school group. Husker hires Harper Murray is ranked No. 1 by Prepvolleyball.comand three of the top four players in the 2023 rookie rankings are committed to Nebraska.
