Apple’s new store opens on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi.
US tech giant Apple is recruiting for its retail, corporate, sales and business development businesses in the United Arab Emirates.
The iPhone maker has announced several positions including Business Pro, Operations Expert, Specialist, Genius, Creative, Business Expert, Technical Specialist, Expert, Finance Business Partner and Strategy Analyst.
In February, Apple opened its fourth store in the United Arab Emirates on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi. Previously, it operated two outlets in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi. Its two stores were temporarily closed in Dubai in January this year due to Covid-19.
The new jobs, which were advertised on its website, are located in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Candidates interested in the jobs can apply through Apple’s jobs section.
Multilingual capability is an added advantage for all jobs.
Below is the list of positions and requirements:
Business professional: The candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years of proven successful and high performance experience selling technology and/or business solutions or equivalent. Advanced and demonstrated Apple expertise in mobility adoption and business transformation with general knowledge of key SMB sectors, technology trends, challenges and industries is also required.
Operations Specialist: Ability to think quickly and perform problem-solving tasks, even in changing conditions; leadership skills, whether leading by example or coaching a group; strong organizational skills, quickly assessing each situation.
Specialist: Strong interest in technology, especially Apple products, and agility to learn new products and features; ability to deliver an excellent customer experience in any environment and be invigorated by constant personal interaction; strong communication skills to deal with small groups as well as individual clients.
Genius: Strong interpersonal skills and sense of problem solving; ability to maintain composure and customer focus when troubleshooting and resolving technical issues; ability to adhere to a schedule of appointments with clients.
Creative: Ability to teach small groups and coach multiple clients simultaneously; tenacity to work with users until they become truly independent and able to create on their own; able to sell as well as teach and assist team members as needed.
Business Expert: Knowledge of how businesses use technology and what Apple solutions can offer them; comfortable using the phone to interact with customers and position business solutions; and ability to facilitate commerce experiences through information sessions, workshops and in-store events.
Technical Specialist: Ability to assess customer support needs upon arrival and then provide solutions or refer them to other team members; the flexibility to rotate regularly between different technical specialties and skill sets; ability to adapt to change as products evolve.
Expert: Demonstrated mastery of technology, especially Apple products, and ability to quickly become familiar with new products; proven track record in business and technology solutions, as well as customer retention; and the ability to consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences, no matter the situation.
Financial Trade Partner for Africa: Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization and work cross-functionally; ability to prioritize, focus on what matters, simplify story around complex issues, articulate business/business/financial topics clearly; able to offer solution-based advice to problems; excellent analytical skills; experience leading impactful teams and developing talent; commercial/commercial finance experience, ideally in a consumer electronics or technology company; ability to take ownership of all issues related to geology from a financial point of view; ability to assess the effectiveness of investments for various types of initiatives; able to understand and keep in perspective the finances, motivation and behavior of channel partners, in addition to the interaction of different RTMs. The candidate should hold an MBA, preferably with a background in accounting. This position is located in Dubai.
